Realism
Realism (also known as Naturalism) was an
art movement which first started in France and was used to revolt against the
Romanticism Art movement. In general, realist artists sought to capture the detail
and precision of the everyday situations of every individual in the classes of
society while avoiding the emotion and drama in which it was seen in
Romanticist paintings.
